Forty two young goats averaging one year old and 22.352 kg weight, respec tively, were randomly distributed in three treatments of 14 individuals each, to evaluate two levels of poultry waste as part of the feed supplement in order to accelerate the entry to the first breeding through average daily gains (ADG) as well as pregnancy, parturition and prolificacy rates of this animals under range conditions. The supplementation period was 45 days (33 before the breeding season and 12 during it). For the first treatment; 30% of poultry waste (P) and 70% of sorghum grain (S) was supplied, in the second treatment the supplement was 60% P and 40% S and for the third treatment, there was no supplement. To calculate ADG, each animal was weighted at: 15, 30 and 45 days of the experimental period. 90 days after the end of the breeding season, pregnancy detection was done, at parturition time, number of goats kidding and number of kids born were recorded in order to calculate parturition and prolificacy rates. For a period of 0-15 days of supplementation, treatment 2 was better than the others (P< 0.05) with ADGís of: 0.062, 0.096 and 0.062 kg/anim/d for treatments 1, 2 and 3 respectively. For period 16-30, treatment 1 was better than 2 and 3 (P<0.01) with ADGís of: 0.152, 0.112 and 0.079 kg/anim/d for treatments 1, 2 and 3 respectively. For period 31-45, treatment 1 was also better than 2 and 3 (P<0.05) with ADGís of: 0.216, 0.119 and 0.146 kg/anim/d for treatments 1, 2 and 3 respectively. For pregnancy rates; using the experimental procedure of confidence intervals at a level of 90%. Animals of treatment 1 had at least 51% of probability to be pregnant, treatment 2 had at least 49% of probability to be pregnant too. However, treatment 3 had as much as 49% of probability to be pregnant. For parturition rates using the same former method, animals under treatment 1 had at least 37% of probability of kidding; treat ment 2 had at least 34% of probability and treat 3 had as much as 34% of probability. Prolificacy was the same for all treatments. Supplementation improved body condition of the animals as well as productive and reproductive performance, mainly, with 30% of poultry waste. In this assay, supplementation did not improve prolificacy.
