This study took place at the reforestation campus belonging to the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro (UAAAN) and the rural community La Angostura in Saltillo, Coah., México. It proposes ecological rehabilitation through the application of organic materials on and incorporated to soil, included in two factors; management prac tices, and organic material analyzed in divided plots -in space and time- selecting the best treatments through a mean test in coupled plots. Evaluated variables were covering, physic and chemical properties of soil, green and dry weights of grasses, and rainfall simulation.
The study was defined as an initial period on 1994 and a final one on 1995, which allowed to realize how the incorporated organic material expressed a vertical and horizontal growth of grasses and herbaceous plants that replace the naked soil, stones and moss causing a betterment of the physicochemical properties of soil.
When simulating rain, the sediment concentration whence the mineral material, organic (g/lt) and infiltrability derivation was determined, and it was detected a consider able difference between the witness with respect to the rest of those where organic material was applied, but among them the difference was smaller, which means that all movement on and incorporated to the ground at a certain moment, was correct. Each treatment was supported at the beginning of the draining, that refers to the time, in minutes, that the water delays in running within the plot towards the suction tube, and within the witnesses the draining stated in a few seconds.
