Alar vs. Giberelinas endógenas en la formación floral del manzano

Con el propósito de ampliar el conocimiento sobre el mecanismo de acción del producto Alar (daminozida) en el proceso de inducción floral en manzano, árboles de los cultivares Golden Delicious fueron tratadas con el compuesto, a una dosis de 2 000 ppm 2 semanas después de la floración.
Los análisis biológicos realizados en la difusión de semillas de frutos coleccio-nados, después del tratamiento con ese retardante, mostraron menor contenido de giberelinas. La posible relación entre el Alar y las giberelinas endógenas en la formación de vema floral en manzano es discutida.
