A feeding trial was worked out to test the effect of a growth promoting product (GP), based on gibberellin and lysine, on fattening pigs. A group of 50 growing pigs, 18 Kg average weight, were randomly assigned to five traits (10 animals each) consistent in a base diet and added 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 mg of GP per kilogram of feed. Among variables and traits, the average daily gain (ADG) was the only different (P<.05) when 40 mg of GP per kilogram of feed was used (.578 Kg vs .472 from control). It is presumed that higher GP dosis could have better results.
