Abstract

Permetrin, cipermethrin and cyhalothrin piretroids were evaluated to control hickory shuckworn and pecan nut casebearer compared with azinphosmethyl and phosalone, the most used by growes, finding that the best treatments to control A. nuxvorella were the three evaluated insecticides at 300, 100 and 33 gr, ia/ha respectively where as for C. caryana were the last two. The insecticides tested were more effective than azinphosmethyl and phosalone, however, azinphosmethyl gave an aceptable control over both pests.
